This smoothie tastes JUST like pumpkin pie! Make sure you don’t leave out the Almond Butter, even if you don’t love it, I promise it adds another level of deliciousness to this smoothie.
This is the perfect thing to make when you are craving Thanksgiving leftovers or a Starbuck’s PSL Frapp. It has plenty of spice and real pumpkin which makes it delicious AND nutritious! Pumpkin contains fiber (helps lower cholesterol and regulate bowel movements) and Beta Carotene. Did you know that Beta Carotene not only helps improve eye sight (by fighting off macular degeneration), but is also a really powerful anti-oxidant which can help fight off disease, cancer, and some common effects of aging?!?! This Fall, make it a point to get in lots of red-orange colored fruits and veggies, especially Winter squashes, to get your full dose of Beta Carotene!

1C Unsweetened Almond milk (or other dairy free milk of choice)
1/3 C Pumpkin Puree
1 scoop Vanilla flavored Protein Powder
1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spices
2 heaping spoonfuls creamy Almond Butter
Scrape out the beans from 1/2 of a Vanilla Bean Pod or use 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Optional: Top with Purely Elizabeth’s Pumpkin Cinnamon Granola (GF) or a blend of toasted coconut shreds and chopped pecans
